The Abroad Xperts Story
The Abroad Xperts story started in 2018 when our founders connected over a shared frustration with how broken the international student recruitment was in INDIA and Beyond. They identified a fundamental problem in the international study scene: There is no efficient, reliable way for institutions to reach out to Indian students.
About the role:
The Education Counselor will guide international students to find the institution that best meets their learning and career aspirations. Driving the achievement of pipeline goals, customer satisfaction and targets through each stage of the student journey.
The Education Counselor is also responsible for directly promoting Abroad Xperts products and services to students, supporting and referring students with issues other than placement.
This is a Permanent Full-time role at our Sydney and Hyderabad offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Achievement
- Provide information and advice to international students and their families regarding study opportunities in Australia, Canada, USA & the UK, in English and other languages as applicable.
- Submit applications to institutions, obtain offers and facilitate enrollments.
- Follow up leads and inquiries and maximise the number of applications submitted and finalised.
- Support Abroad Xperts network students with on-arrival issues and/or on-shore Abroad Xperts services.
- Screen IELTS students and Student Service customers to identify opportunities for cross-servicing and action applicable cases to increase uptake of both services.
Professional Competence
- Possess a high level of product knowledge and competency in using CRM systems for managing student cases and running performance reports. Ensure accuracy in data entry and management.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of student visa conditions and client programs and processes.
Customer Service Orientation
- Attend to student face-to-face, phone, live chat and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Follow through on student inquiries, requests or complaints and provide information and assistance as required
- Provide customer service to IELTS test takers and students visiting the student services office, providing them with information and test bookings
- Manage reception occasionally including responding to and redirecting queries where required
- Assist students with on-arrival issues and provide them with on-shore Services
Interactions and Team Work
- Support event managers in the organisation of major promotional events such as Interview Sessions (included above) and twice-a-year exhibitions
- Assist the promotion and student bookings of excursions and cultural events
- Provide input on marketing activities to promote Abroad Xperts brand and services and work with Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the advertisements on community newspapers and websites.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities and threats in the market
- Listen and present information to students, colleagues and other staff
- Share market information and insightful updates on issues and market trends to peers
Building Collaborative Relationships
- Work with Marketing Manager & Team Leaders to develop relationships and projects with Institution representatives
- Build good working relationships with network counsellors, marketing and admissions staff from institutions.
- Proactively seek partnership opportunities with industry stakeholders such as student associations, migration agents, referral partners
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Completed Bachelor Degree
- Working experience in International Education Sector
- Achievement orientated
- Demonstrated customer service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Fluency in Hindi and other languages preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- High level of problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Understand needs and issues of on-shore international students
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Outlook and Internet skills
GOOD TO HAVE
- Understanding of Immigration system/visa pathways.
- Experience working in International Education and a QEAC

Your past experience and passion for marketing will be recognised and rewarded as you help drive Love Your Health towards its marketing goals.
You will be working closely alongside our support team, collection of various agencies and our in house social media manager, to ensure that our tone and messaging is powerful and consistent.
Your role will see your experience flourish as you help design and implement new strategies with the ultimate goal of increasing the awareness and trust customers have in Love Your Health and the brands its distributes.

- Being a key part of the team helping to design an effective strategy that continues to improve our brand engagement whilst improving sales growth.
- Supporting a social media managers efforts by helping to find an manage suitable influencers and health experts.
- Engaging and working alongside our collection of marketing agencies to help ensure our digital ad spend is effective and is reported weekly.
- Helping direct or create new content that can be used in our marketing efforts.
Ideal Candidate attributes include:
- You are passionate about digital marketing with a strategically thinking mind.
- You have current experience, having recently worked in a similar environment.
- Know your way around Canva, Klaviyo, Ad Manager, Yotpo & Shopify.
- You can create or direct high quality is written and visual content that is suitable for publishing.

About the Business Development Team
The Business Development team is responsible for selling the Abroad Xperts and associated products and services to a range of customers and partners across the globe. The team is accountable for driving the sales growth and revenue year on year whilst delivering undeniable value, service, and experience for our partners in building trusting long-term relationships.
About the Role
- Achievement of student enrolment targets.
- Achievement of Targets for Converting dormant Accounts to performing Accounts.
- Achievement of Targets for Converting Accounts to Key Accounts.
- Taking over New Accounts from the RM once onboarding has been completed.
- Student Pipeline Management -Supervising the overall progress of student pipeline, ensuring the pipeline is clear of any inactive students, identifying any significant trends early in the Cycle to be able to capitalize on positive trends or fix issues, if any.
- Portfolio Management (Referral partners) -Identify Recruitment Partner growth opportunities and risk profile, the primary point of contact for all Key Recruitment Partners for Sales, provide prompt and clear responses to maximize the business opportunity.
Qualification & Training
- Tertiary educated (preferably in Business / or Marketing).
- Fluency in English, Hindi and ideally a second language (Regional).
- CRM Knowledge. Prior experience on Sales Force, Zoho will be an added advantage.
Experience required:
- More than 3 years of experience in sales and marketing ideally with exposure to an agency/indirect distribution model in the recruitment of International Students.
- Experience in managing Sales and Projects within a marketplace.
- Knowledge and understanding of the international student marketplace and the challenges within this industry.
Attributes:
- Good Business and commercial acumen, analytical and quantitative ability.
- Results orientated with the ability to successfully deliver on Sales, financial and customer satisfaction outcomes.
- Ability to implement strategic and Tactical Plans for a portfolio of customers.
- Willing to work reasonable additional work hours in response to the needs of the business and the position.
